Chiropractor Wilmington NC
Have you been suffering from pain or perhaps poor posture, allergies, digestive issues, weight gain, or low energy? This is a very short list of some very common conditions that keep a person from living an abundant life. Wilmington chiropractor Dr. Sean Reese of Sea Coast Chiropractic and Wellness would like you and your family to feel and look your best so you can do the things that mean the most to you, and he can help you achieve it.
Dr. Sean (as his patient's often call him in the office) has been helping people of all ages, infants to seniors, for over 29 years now. He meets people where they are, listens carefully to their individual concerns and goals, and performs an in-depth assessment that determines their current health status and what it will take to get them where they want to be. Dr. Sean often states, "Your health is a genetic expression of your lifestyle choices, based on how you eat, think, and move." In other words, your health is in your own hands, and shouldn't be blamed on "bad genes or bad luck." Taking responsibility for some simple lifestyle improvements like eating whole fresh foods, keeping your thoughts positive and self-affirming, and exercising regularly are steps on the road to a healthier life.
Dr. Sean recognizes that this is often easier said than done. Most people have good intentions and really want to be healthier, but they just don't know how to go about it, which is understandable because there is so much misinformation out there that keeps people running in circles and getting nowhere fast. So, he gives simple everyday action steps to help his patients achieve better overall health, potentially alleviating the need for prescription medications and invasive surgeries.
Sea Coast Chiropractic and Wellness offers chiropractic care, therapeutic and fitness exercise training, whole-food based nutritional supplements, acupuncture, and informative lectures and workshops that teach strategies for healthy living. Dr. Sean is passionate about teaching his patients the best and most efficient ways to exercise for improved muscle tone and effective weight management, how to eat properly to sufficiently fuel the body, and how to keep your head-space and internal dialogue congruent with achieving your goals. Essentially, how to move well, eat well, and think well - to BE well.
One of his patients is a World War II veteran in his mid-90's. He has been seeing Dr. Sean regularly for 15 years now. When a younger patient asked him for a clue to his longevity, he said "I come here." It's that simple. Dr. Sean has helped thousands of chiropractic patients in Wilmington. He says, "We offer lifetime care for lifelong relationships."

THE HISTORY OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
The word “Chiropractic” is derived from the Greek words “cheir” (hand) and “praktos” (done) combined to mean “done by hand.” It was chosen by the developer of chiropractic care, Daniel David Palmer.
In 1895, D.D. Palmer performed a chiropractic adjustment on a partially deaf janitor, Harvey Lillard, who later reported that his hearing had improved due to the change.
D.D. Palmer opened the first chiropractic school two years later, and in the century since, chiropractic professionals have used spinal adjustments to help people prevent and cope with back pain, carpal tunnel, muscle strain, headaches and migraines, and a variety of other physical ailments. Millions of people benefit from the work of Dr. Palmer today.
TRAINING OF A CHIROPRACTOR
Chiropractic doctors go through a minimum of four years of schooling at a chiropractic college, generally preceded by an undergraduate degree in the basic sciences or several years of experience in a prior relevant health care field.
Students of chiropractic care must spend a minimum of at least 4,200 hours with their teacher, and a minimum of 1,000 hours of fully supervised clinical training with an instructor as they learn the appropriate diagnosis and treatment techniques to help heal your body and restore it to its natural, fully functioning state.
Our chiropractic team is ready to meet with you to discuss your needs. We will help to design a program that is right for you. We look forward to meeting you.
